Your privacy is important to The Catholic Foreign Mission Society of America, Inc., (a.k.a: "Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers" or the "Society"). This statement discloses the information practices for the Society Websites, including but not limited to, what type of information is gathered and tracked, how the information is used, and with whom the information is shared Information you give us.

In general, you can visit the Society Website without telling us who you are and without revealing any information about yourself. However, there are sections of the Maryknoll Website where our vendors or we may need information from you.

Sometimes, we may specifically ask for information about you when you Post-a-Prayer, participate in an Opinion Poll, complete a registration form or order a product (www.maryknollmall.org ). We will need certain information in order to provide that service or product to you. If we have trouble processing your request, this information is used to get in touch with you, the user. Kids, you have rights too
The Society takes special care to protect the safety and privacy of young people using our Website. We do have specific information on our Websites that maybe of interest to Kids. We encourage parents to participate in their your child's experience on the Web and to review the United States’ Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Automatic Information
We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. Like many Web sites, we use "cookies" and log files to obtain certain types of information when your Web browser accesses certain sections of the Society websites.

Links
This website links to websites maintained by organizations other than the Society. Once you access another website, you are subject to the privacy policy of that website.

Disclosure
We do not use or disclose information about your individual visits to the Society websites that you may give us, such as your name, address, and email address or telephone number, to any outside organizations. However, as we mentioned above, we do employ external vendors to perform functions on our behalf.

Examples of these functions includes marketing consultations, credit cards processing, and other personal communications (e.g. personal e-mail messages).

We will not share any information we collect with other third parties, except in response to formal requests (e.g. subpoena or court order) made in connection with litigation or arbitration proceedings to protect the Society rights and property, or during emergencies when we believe physical safety is at risk. Of course, what you write or post in public or member chat rooms, blogs and discussion boards is available not only to the Society, but to the public at large.

Security
We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology to protect the transmission of information you submit to us (such as credit card number or other personal idnetifiable information). While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information offline. All the information you provide us through these forms is stored securely offline.

Information you can access
The Freedom of Information Act and the Privacy Act of 1974 provide you certain rights to get information about you that is in our records. We will make a sincere effort to respond in a timely manner to your requests to correct inaccuracies in your personal information.
